PLEASE NOTE:
The information on this page refers the "regular" Ukulele Program which we were running, prior to March 2020. We left this page up on our website to give you an idea of what our regular programming how looked like in past and how we plan to move forward, once we are able to do so.

Sing Like A STAR now offers both GROUP and 1-ON-1 Ukulele Lessons!
Why Ukulele?
Ukulele is one of the easiest instruments for beginners to learn. There are only four strings! Plus, once the students master just a few different chords, they will be able to play tons of songs on their Uke! Just like in our piano program, it is important to us that students experience success and feel good about themselves right away when learning a new instrument!
As a first instrument, ukuleles teach kids about music and music theory. Through ukulele lessons, a child learns about beat, harmony, melody, rhythm, and tempo. The ukulele also helps children develop eye-hand coordination as well as independent movement of fingers.
Bonus Points
-
the ukulele has a soft mellow sound that won’t loudly disrupt your whole household. I know, I know, you were hoping we would start offering drum lessons… ;)
-
if you have a child who wants to eventually learn the guitar, starting with a ukulele often makes the process easier and less frustrating.
-
the ukulele class is open to all students, whether they are in our singing program or not. However, we know that many singers will take this course and the Ukulele is a great instrument for singing and playing at the same time.
Locations offering Ukulele
